We asked four Encampment alums “Why apply to the 2025 Encampment?” and this video has their answers. Click image to view.
Help spread the word to young people who want to make a difference in their communities. This summer, they can unite, resist, and lead the change they want to see with peers from around the country in the Encampment’s dynamic experiential summer program. Young people who are 15–18 years old can join us from July 1–22 at Cal Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, California, to learn how to stand up to the current threats to democracy, human rights, and equity.
2025 Encampers will:
- Develop their leadership and community-building skills with peers from the U.S. and beyond.
- Experience the local community and meet activists who are working for change in the farmworker and indigenous communities.
- Learn practical activism skills including working across differences, understanding power and recognizing propaganda.
- Practice using the arts in activism.
- Explore the Central Coast of California.
